School Start-Up

Opening a new school challenges the assumptions and vision set during a design process. The day-to-day operations can consume and distract. We support schools during their first years of operations to provide support, coaching, and technical assistance. We help schools reach their goals and realize their vision. We have experience working with district neighborhood schools, pilot schools, and charter schools.

Two examples of this kind of work are demonstrated in our support for the initiatives of the Asia Society:

Ambassador School of Global Education (ASGE)
The Ambassador School of Global Education is one of a few K-5 Pilot Schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District and the first K-5 School within the International Studies School Network. ASGE worked collaboratively with the Educators Cooperative group and Asia Society throughout the entire start-up process including the opening of their doors September 13, 2010. ASGE will continue to work with these two entities during the first two years of implementation.
